Traditional Indian day bed also called charpoy or “khatiya”. These beds are commonly found in Indian homes and rural areas or ‘dhabas’ (roadside restaurants). They are constructed from hand-woven natural fibres and hand-carved wooden legs. Although an ancient Indian design - thousands of years old - these beds are becoming popular in the West and modern interior design. They are extremely comfortable and versatile.
